How Do You Conjure An Enchanted Loom And What You Need

In Hogwarts Legacy, upgrading your gear and tailoring combat traits are crucial steps for surviving tougher magical encounters. To perform these enhancements, players must conjure an Enchanted Loom inside the Room of Requirement. Understanding the unlock requirements and necessary crafting materials ensures a seamless transition into advanced equipment customization.

Prerequisites and Unlocking the Quest

Before you can place an Enchanted Loom in your sanctuary, you must progress through the main storyline. Reach level 16 and complete the main quest titled "The Helm of Urtkot". Shortly after, Deek the house-elf will offer the key quest called "The Elf, the Nab-Sack, and the Loom".

During this quest, Deek introduces you to rescuing magical beasts and gathering their resources. Successfully rescuing a Puffskein, Jobberknoll, and Mooncalf unlocks the Vivarium and provides the required Spellcraft. Once these tasks are finished, you return to the Room of Requirement to conjure the loom.

Required Materials and Conjuration Cost

To craft the station itself, players need a small amount of Moonstone. You specifically need 8 Moonstones, which can be easily gathered around the open world or inside the Room of Requirement. Make sure you have learned the Conjuring Spell during your initial Room of Requirement lessons.

Open your Conjuration spell menu and navigate directly to the Utility tab. Select the Enchanted Loom from the menu and confirm its position in your workspace. Once placed, you can immediately interact with the loom to inspect your available gear.

Gathering Beast Materials for Gear Upgrades

To upgrade gear or apply traits, you must collect magical materials from beasts cared for in your Vivarium. Caring for your rescued creatures by brushing and feeding them rewards you with items like Puffskein Fur or Jobberknoll Feathers. Alternatively, these materials can be purchased directly from Brood and Peck in Hogsmeade.

Upgrading clothing boosts secondary stats such as Offence or Defence depending on the gear piece. Adding traits allows players to customize spell damage and damage resistance against specific enemy types. Keep in mind that higher rarity items yield significantly higher stat bonuses when fully upgraded.

Maximizing Your Enchanted Loom Usage

It is important to note that only Superb rarity items or higher can accept trait modifications and stat upgrades. Standard and Well-Appointed gear cannot be enhanced at the loom. Exploring bandit camps across the Highlands remains the most effective way to discover new trait recipes.

Once you place the loom, regularly tending to your Vivarium animals ensures a steady supply of upgrading resources. This routine keeps your character prepared for challenging boss fights and late-game content. Mastering gear enhancements drastically improves overall combat efficiency during your adventure.
